The first thing to decide when starting a business is to determine if there is a need for the product or service you’re offering. Being a career professional in the retail industry, where my ultimate goal was selling, I saw the good, bad, and the ugly when it came to marketing practices. That helped me come to the realization, “brands NEED help” and from that moment E-Con + Sol was birthed. I received my Bachelor of Science in Textiles, Merchandising, & Design with a concentration in Fashion Merchandising and minor in Marketing. During undergrad I interned at Teen VOGUE Magazine in NYC where I worked for the Accessories Editor. Aside from assisting during photoshoots and pulling merch, the thing I enjoyed the most was composing the trend forecast books. During Fashion Week I would hop online soon as each show wrapped to snag pics of the accessories featured to create a trend/mood board in an effort to predict what would be hot for the upcoming season! Later I went on to pursue my Masters in Marketing because by this point I had a desire to influence consumers’ buying behavior from a fashion, design, & art standpoint.
